APTET September 2013 notification was released to conduct an Eligibility Test on 9th February, 2014. But later, it was postponed till next date.

Government of Andhra Pradesh, School Education Department notifies for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) every year. APTET is conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Willing candidates to be teachers for classes 1 to 8 in the schools of Andhra Pradesh must have to face aptet.cgg.gov.in, Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test.

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) issued a vide notification dated 23rd August, 2010 in accordance with the provision of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Right to Education (RTE) 2009 to conducted TET in each state for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII.

Government of Andhra Pradesh issues APTET notification in accordance with guidelines framed by NCTE for conducting Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test.

All candidates who passes D. Ed, B. Ed and Language Pandit or equivalent qualifications and all appearing candidates in the final year of these courses can apply for aptet.cgg.gov.in downloading APTET information bulletin to become teachers for classes 1 to 8.

Qualified candidates in Andhra Pradesh TET can become teachers for classes 1 to 8 in the schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Private aided schools and Private unaided schools in Andhra Pradesh State.

There are no restrictions on the number of attempt in APTET. Candidates can attempt in aptet.cgg.gov.in as many times as they want to improve their previous TET score.

APTET is conducted in 2 papers – Paper I and Paper II. Candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear in Paper I of aptet.cgg.gov.in. Those candidates who intend to be teachers for VI to VIII have to appear for Paper II of APTET. Those candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII have to appear for both papers of Andhra Pradesh TET.

Weightage for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test scores in selection of District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitments will be 20% and 80% weightage will be given to written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (RTR) for drawing selection list.

Basic qualification to apply for APTET is intermediate/Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with B.El.Ed or diploma in elementary education to become teachers for classes I to V.

Minimum qualification to apply for aptet.cgg.gov.in is bachelor degree with Diploma in Elementary Education to be teachers for classes VI to VIII.
